Relocated: The New Native American Writers

Seeking submissions for anthology edited by Sherman Alexie and Christy Cox

FallsApart Productions is seeking original written work by North American Indian writers, born in 1960 and after, for a new anthology with the working title “Relocated: The New Native American Writers.”

“Relocated” in the title is not in reference to a theme of relocation, but refers to the generation of writers who will be included in this collection – the children of relocation.

GUIDELINES

• Written work may include writing from all genres – poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Sherman says, “Just send your best work, whatever it is.” Please note that this anthology will not include academic papers.

• All submissions must be unpublished original work, no longer than 50 pages.

• Simultaneous submissions are okay, but please notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere, as we are not able to accept previously published work.

• The coversheet or letter must include name, address, and phone number, and must include a brief biographical statement. Please include the year in which you were born. If you have e-mail access, please include e-mail address as well.

• Manuscript submissions should be typed, double-spaced, on one side only of 8½ x 11 white paper with the author's name, address, phone number, and e-mail address on the first page of each submission.

• Poetry may be single-spaced. Author’s name should appear on each page of poetry. Poems of multiple pages should indicate whether or not stanza breaks accompany page breaks.

• Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient postage if you wish to have your work returned.

• If you would like a confirmation that your manuscript has been received, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard.

You must keep a photocopy of everything you send us. Please do NOT send us your only copy of your work. FallsApart Productions is not responsible for any lost manuscripts.

We are receiving a large number of submissions for consideration for this anthology. Given this, we may not be able to respond to you in a timely manner.
