SEYMOUR POLATKIN, played by Evan Adams

Seymour Polatkin is a Spokane Indian and the author of nine books of poetry, including All My Relations, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. He has guest lectured at over 100 colleges and universities and is currently living with his longtime boyfriend, Steven Albright, in Seattle.

According to a poll taken on the Spokane Indian Reservation in November 2000, 73 percent of Spokane Indians think Seymour is an asshole, while 22 percent think he's just a jerk, while 5 percent are undecided.

A free verse poet, Seymour is currently thinking about becoming a formalist.
