FallsApart Productions is pleased to announce the availability of THE BUSINESS OF FANCYDANCING to institutions and groups.

Whether you want to screen THE BUSINESS OF FANCYDANCING for a group or a classroom, the filmmakers have reduced the price of public performance use. As a result of the recent availability of the movie at local video stores, we have begun the education/leasing phase of distribution and we have reduced rates dramatically.

The home video version is licensed only for individual use, and not legally available for group or public performance use without a public performance license direct from the filmmakers. Once your group has obtained a “no-frills” DVD and license from us, you may also use the home video version in a public situation, though that home video DVD purchase cost is in addition to the lease price, and at your own option.

The public performance and use by institutions such as museums, hospitals, fillm societies, community groups, schools and colleges is still available and licensed to those groups by way of a "life of disc" lease, available directly from the filmmakers.

The institution is sent a DVD with just the movie (no special features like the ones added to the home video version) and:

1. If the institution limits the use to classrooms or private showings to groups of members, the lease price is $49

2. If the institution wishes to screen to the general public for no admission charge, the price is $99.

3. If the institution wishes to screen to the public and charge admission, the minimum price is $149 or 35% of the total ticket sales, whichever is larger.

We provide free promotional materials (color posters, postcards, bookmarks, bumper stickers) to those lease customers, in any quantity (as long as quantities are available) for the cost of shipping and handling. There is a $5 flat ship charge for shipping and handling of the DVD itself.

In each case, institutions retain the DVDs for as long as they wish and may screen as often as they wish for the flat fee if no admission is charged. If a disc is defective within one year, we will replace it at no additional charge. Additional DVD's under the same blanket licence (up to five total) add only $5 each to the total lease.

35mm Screenings

The minimum rental for 35mm is $150 plus shipping both ways. If you allow for several weeks lead time, shipping is much less costly.

Whether you start with 35mm, a DVD is still yours for the life of the disc, under the lease.
