Here are two great sites that publish one poem a day all year long. All sorts of old favorites and new surprises show up. These sites are like poetry jukeboxes.
Here's a lovely, lovely site that publishes one poem a week. They keep rejecting me, the bastards! But, really, it's great. And they present audio readings of the poems, too. When it comes to online literary magazines, I prefer the simple, elegant look.
Here's a site dedicated to literary magazines, online and print. I don't know of another publication, online or in print, that reviews so many literary journals.
Here are what I believe to be the two most physically gorgeous literary magazines in the country. While they each have a nice web presence, these two journals arebest appreciated in print form. Subscribe, subscribe.
And now for my two favorite crossword blogs. I'm a crossword fiend. And I'm pretty good at it, but these two guys are like Jordan and Pippen. Or Cagney & Lacey. Brendan is currently working on crosswords that will appear on this site. Yes, you heard that right. I'm commissioning crosswords from one of the world's great puzzlers. I'm hoping the first one will feature famous Indians and famous poets in a crossword mash-up masterpiece. Stay tuned.
Here's a random collection of some sites that I often visit.
Three of my early, early publishers, still going strong after decades in business.
Here is a very incomplete list of great online-only literary magazines. I will continue to grow this list. There are so many great journals out there.
Here are the folks who have recorded my audio books here in Seattle. And will be working with me on my independently produced audio stuff. Great fun, they are.
I decided to search for some of the micro-presses that published my poems back in the mimeograph and photocopy days. I wasn't surprised to find that the journals are defunct, but delighted that certain editors are working in new incarnations, while others are missing in action. Dear editors, who gave me hope when I was twenty years old, where have you gone?

Some favorite restaurants in Seattle.
A great site for boys who love toys.
Another secret post! Here are links to a cool web magazine operating out of the cloud and a great Seattle bookstore, both run by folks who have mocked me in public and in private (I've got ears everywhere! Ha!). I'm a mainstream success these days, so I should have tons of independent folks reacting negatively toward me. I should be an anti-example. A measuring tape. That big monolith from 2001: a Space Odyssey. It's perfectly logical. I used to do the same thing to the big name writers when I was younger. And since there are always bigger names, I do the same thing now. But, hey, to talk a little trash back, I was small press and radically independent and new when these folks were still in pre-school. In any case, read the magazine: it is smart, funny, and snarky. And shop the bookstore: it is way cool and has a beautiful mission. UPDATE: Well, Pilot Books has closed. As the owner said, "I thought I could sell six books a day and stay open. Turns out I couldn't sell six books a day." Turns out those young Seattle hipster poets are great looking, and write great poems, but they don't buy enough poetry books. In this way, they're like every other group of poets.
